In our last post we discussed that in order for your blog to be successful, you must create content that's share-worthy. Today, there are over a billion blogs out there and a new one set up every minute. If you're going to stand out from the crowd, then you have to have something that people can connect with.

What is share-worthy content?

Before we get into some possible content ideas for your coaching blog, let's answer one important question: why would people share your coaching content?

People will share content that resonates with them on an emotional level. The more impact your content has on your audience, the more likely they are to share it.

How to create content for your coaching blog that resonates and has impact

Take a unique angle on the subject.

Remember, as a coach you have a unique opportunity to inspire others by tackling subjects that are not easy to talk about in our day to day conversations, but if you're going to take a unique angle on any subject, make sure it's an angle that will resonate with your target audience.

Make your audience feel something.

Emotions drive action. If you can make your audience feel something when they read your blog post, chances are they will act on it. When you write, ask yourself if your content appeals

to readers’ hopes, dreams, fears, and insecurities. You can provide them with a path toward feeling good through your content.

As a coach, your content can, and should, be emotionally deeper.

Be relatable

People will always choose to work with the coach that feels real and accessible. As you write, be as relatable as you can and tell stories that show your audience how you got where you are today. Use language that your audience uses and don't be afraid to let yourself be vulnerable by sharing a personal story about a struggle you yourself have faced.

Now that you know how to create share-worthy content, let's talk about some specific topics you can write for your coaching business.

Blog content ideas that work for coaches

  • What motivates you to do this work and your approach different?
  • Pick a problem your prospect is facing and explain why it’s important and why it won’t solve itself
  • Discuss why a particular approach your audience might have used to solve their problem didn’t work
  • Invite the reader to imagine what their future would look like if they achieved a certain result or desire
  • Share a funny, relatable story and add takeaways that link it to your area of coaching
